Ethos Commercial Division offers a combined 40 years of commercial roofing experience. Over the past decade the commercial market has seen major advancements with new products and new applications. Ethos has three options when it comes to commercial roofing:
Roof repair is an immediate and temporary solution to an active leak or a visual problem. We repair all flashing damage and roof surfaces including: caulking, minor resurfacing, and penetration damage. Most leaks occur around roof flashings. Flashings are where the roof changes direction in a certain section such as air conditioning units, exhaust vents, skylights, or walls. Approximately 90% of all roof leaks originate from flashings. Ethos Roofing is committed to saving roofs versus replacing roofs. Roof repair is a more economical and immediate solution to a leaking roof. If the roof is still in good general condition, we focus our efforts on repairing flashings and surfaces. We repair roofs quickly and affordably without interrupting your business.
Roof restoration is the rejuvenation of the entire roof that can significantly extend the lifecycle of your commercial roofing system. This is considered a major repair. Our Commercial Division is trained to identify and refurbish major deficiencies before a costly replacement is necessary. This is an Ethos Roofing specialty and will usually cost about half as much as a complete replacement.
Roof replacement is always the final option with commercial roofing. If the roofing system is not repairable, not restorable, than that leaves with us with roof replacement. This usually occurs under severe weather conditions or material wear and tear over time. This is a long-term solution to a major system issue. Installing a new roof can provide more than 20 years of life. Ethos offers a wide variety of commercial roofing solutions that are designed to fit any budget or goal for a commercial property. The best way to prolong roof replacement is MAINTENANCE! While it is more disturbing and expensive than restoration, replacing the roof can save money in maintenance and energy costs in the future. Frequent repairs can become a major hindrance to a company dealing with frequent leaks and often produces un-happy tenants. Ethos Roofing will present a variety of roof replacement solutions that meet our clients budget, manage disruption to daily business, and comply with the most updated commercial roofing codes.

I wanted to reach out to you guys to thank you for the coordination of all the work on house after the hail damage hit us in early June 2012. The roofing crew was efficient and was respectful of our property. Many times these days we find that crews are unreliable and often you end up having to clean up behind them. In the case of Ethos, the work was completed as discussed, along the agreed time lines and handled professionally. We were also impressed that the yard/deck were cleaned up very well; basically free of any left over tiles, paper or nails. My wife and I appreciated the fact that you also handled all the related paperwork and made processing our claim rather easy. It is not often that we have had to submit a claim for property damage due to weather but your consultation made it an easy, painless process. Please feel free to use us as a reference for any future business needs. Additionally, we will pass along the word as we come across friends, neighbors or co-workers that need a quality roofing company or contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I do to start the Insurance Claim Process?
Call your insurance company, notify them of the date of the storm and what has been damaged. Set up a time for an adjuster to come inspect your property.
Can I decide who I want to use for a contractor or do I have to use who my insurance company recommends?
You have the option to use any contractor you like and feel comfortable with. You do not have to use a contractor that is recommend by the insurance carrier.
Do I need to get 3 bids?
No you do not have to get 3 bids. Select a contractor you feel comfortable with that can help you through the entire restoration process from beginning to end, you should not have to deal with the added stress of an insurance claim.
Should I have a contractor present at the insurance adjustment?
Yes it is important to have your contractor of choice that will be performing restoration present at the adjustment to help address the entire scope of damage to your home.
How much will I have to pay?
Your only out of pocket expense is your insurance deductible. Check with your agent to ensure you have proper coverage and no exclusions that would cause you to pay above and beyond the deductible.
Does the insurance company pay the contractor or the homeowner?
The insurance company will pay you “the property owner” directly. Your mortgage company will be on the checks as well. There are typically 2 payments. You will get an initial check to get the work started called the “ACV” (Actual Cash Value). Once all work is complete the insurance company will pay the remainder of the funds that was held back called the “depreciation”.
If I get bids lower than my insurance settlement, do I get to keep the rest?
Absolutely not, if you receive a lower bid than the insurance settlement the insurance company has to be notified and additional funds will not be released above and beyond the lower bid.
Can I upgrade materials?
You can upgrade materials from what you had before for an additional cost above your deductible. Check with your contractor for upgrade options and pricing.
